Women who are interested in areas such as engineering and math can apply for some scholarship for women. The Society of Women Engineers is just one of the many organizations that exist to help out women financially in earning a degree in one of the areas of study where women are underrepresented.
Your financial aid office at your college can also have scholarships available for women with a financial need. You can get financial help and career guidance at your college's women's center if they have one.
Your college education can also be helped out with some help from the government. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid in order to qualify for assistance from the government and receive extra aid from your university. It shouldn't take you more than 45 minutes or so to get it all finished. When completing it you may also need to provide information such as last year's tax information. Your FAFSA results will tell the government how much help you qualify for and this is also true for your college's financial aid office.
Be sure to also do your own research for scholarships for women. Remember that the more scholarships you apply for, the more chances you have of winning a scholarship.
